How We Support Legal Teams
- →Case review of disclosed evidence. Review of Cellebrite, Axiom and other forensic reports served by the other side, identifying what the data does and does not show. See case review.
- →Expert witness reports and testimony. Independent reports prepared for the court, conclaves with opposing experts, and live evidence. See expert witness.
- →Shadow expert under privilege. Advice to counsel on the technical issues without being disclosed as a witness. How shadow experts work.
- →Preservation and collection. Forensic acquisition of computers, phones, email and cloud accounts, with chain-of-custody records from the start.
- →eDiscovery. Collection and processing of email, documents and cloud data for disclosure. See eDiscovery.
Disclosure Review for Defence Lawyers
When the prosecution serves a Cellebrite or Axiom report, we re-process the underlying extraction in our own lab and test every finding that matters to your case: attribution, timestamps, deleted data and what the report leaves out. How disclosure review works.
Complex analysis can take longer; if it will, we tell you in advance. Court deadlines for reports and submissions are always met.
What to Send Us
- →The full extraction. UFDR, Axiom case or image files, not only the PDF report.
- →Hash values and extraction logs. So we can confirm the copy matches what was acquired.
- →The brief or statement of facts. With the charges or pleadings, so the review targets the issues in dispute.
- →Court dates and deadlines. We plan the work around them from day one.
Only have the PDF? Send it anyway and we will tell you exactly what to request.
Matters We Work On

Codes of Conduct We Work To
Our overriding duty is to the court. Every expert report is prepared in line with the rules of the court it is filed in, including:
Background
Every matter is handled personally by Bobby Pabla, an IACIS-certified examiner (CFCE, ICMDE) with 16 years in law enforcement and government investigation, including the New Zealand Police, the NZ Serious Fraud Office and PNG's Independent Commission Against Corruption. He has given expert evidence in criminal, civil, family and insolvency matters.

Common Questions

Disclosure reviews start from $1,500 + GST. The final cost depends on the number of devices and the volume of data, and you receive a written estimate before any work begins.

Can you act as a shadow expert?+
Yes. We can advise counsel under privilege on the technical issues and the opposing expert’s methodology without being disclosed as a witness.
Do you give evidence in person?+
Yes, in person or by video link, in Australian, New Zealand and Pacific courts.
