Logs and extractions record time in UTC and epoch formats. Paste one and see it in every Australian time zone at once — daylight saving included.
Devices record in a mix of UTC, local time and epoch counters, and Australia spans three standard time zones — two of which shift for daylight saving while Queensland and WA do not. An event logged 09:00 AEST is 08:30 in Adelaide and 07:00 in Perth. Getting this wrong is the fastest way to break a chronology, which is why Timeline Reconstruction starts by normalising every artefact to a single reference zone.
